Dr. Don C. Nichols

Dr. Nichols is a co-founder of Courtroom Intelligence and has been working in the trial consulting profession since the early 1980s. Since that time, Don has personally advised attorney clients on well over 300 cases.

While Don has consulted on a wide variety of cases, much of his work has focused on complex commercial litigation resulting in extensive experience in the areas of patent litigation, antitrust, securities litigation, securities fraud, and business contract litigation. His consulting practice has also included a number of high-profile cases such as tobacco, DMJ, breast implants, and blood factor AIDS litigation.

Prior to becoming a full-time trial consultant, Don was a tenured college professor teaching speech communication courses. His academic areas of expertise included persuasion, public speaking, argumentation and debate, nonverbal communication, and human relations. Dr. Nichols also served as the Director of Forensics at various colleges and earned a national reputation for his coaching of award-winning college debate teams.

Don holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in speech communication. In 1975, he also earned a doctorate with an emphasis in human relations. His post-graduate work focused on legal communication. Don is a long-standing member of the American Society of Trial Consultants.
